Beer Review, Founders Centennial IPA

Founders Imperial IPA
Grand Rapids, MI
7.2% ABV

Appearance: Orange-brown, very hazy, slight effervescence. One-finger white foamy head on the top of the glass. The head sticks around and leaves significant lacing. Impressive. 4.5/5

Smell: Very prominent crisp hops up-top, slight citrusy sweetness underneath. Perhaps a bit overwhelmed by hops, but otherwise a pretty nice aroma for an IPA. 4.0/5

Taste: A pretty exceptional IPA. Rich with crisp hops that are very much on the top level of the beer, but somehow are not overwhelming to the flavor of the grapefruit underneath. A good beer for hop-lovers, less so for anyone else. 4.0/5

Mouthfeel: Thin, hoppy, low carbonation. Clean and smooth on the palate. 4.0/5

Drinkability: For an IPA this hoppy, it's very highly drinkable and very enjoyable. 4.5/5

Overall: 4.15/5
