Beer Review, Goose Island Harvest Ale

Goose Island Harvest Ale

A Chicago beer in honor of a certain Chicago politician.

Appearance: Reddish brown coloration, slightly hazy, some effervescence, moderate off-white head that dissipates immediately. The head leaves no real lacing. 3.5/5

Smell: Dark, malty aroma. Notes of bready grains, somewhat aromatic of dry hops way down deep. Smells sort of like a bock -- I like it. 4.0/5

Taste: A little bit of everything. Sweet at the start, malty in the middle, a nice dose of dry hops at the end. Finishes sweet, leaves a touch of sweet aftertaste. Actually quite enjoyable. 4.0/5

Mouthfeel: Moderate. Very low carbonation. 3.5/5

Drinkability: A very drinkable and enjoyable beer that pairs well with food. Well worth the price. 4.0/5

Overall: 3.85/5
